The Moose are coming off the most successful start to the season in the 2.0 era as they began the season sweeping their weekend set with wins on Saturday and Sunday against the Wild in Iowa this past weekend. It was particularly notable for Jets goalie prospect Domenic DiVincentiis who was fantastic in his pro debut making 37 saves on 39 shots.
Lots happened this weekend for other Winnipeg prospects including Elias Salomonsson (2022 2nd) who scored his first AHL goal (while adding two assists) in both games, Danny Zhilkin (2022 3rd) scored an absolute beauty for his first of the season, Brad Lambert (2022 1st) is up to three assists and Nikita Chibrikov (2021 2nd) leads the team in points (1G 3A) which ties him for 4th in AHL scoring.
There are some question marks regarding Chaz Lucius (2021 1st) who is the subject of ice time management with the team wanting to ensure his health for the entirety of the season and smooth-skating defenceman Dylan Anhorn, who took a shot in practice on Thursday and didn’t play in either of the games in Des Moines.
Skate news:
Good news for the team is that Chaz Lucius is skating this morning. So is Dylan Anhorn.
The only movement we are seeing with the Moose lines is they’ve swapped Parker Ford onto the Lambert/Toninato line with AJF skating with King/Suess.
Lines & D pairs:
Toninato-Lambert-Ford
Chibrikov-Zhilkin-Shaw
King-Suess-AJF
Torgersson-Nikkanen-Liwiski
Empey-Golder-Conley-Lucius
Lundmark – Salomonsson
Kuzmin-Zloty
Anhorn– Bauer
Sautner – Barteaux
