The Moose were off on Sunday likely trying to hit the reset button after blowing a three goal lead (for the second straight game, two days in a row) on Saturday night which cost them critical points as they try to scratch and claw their way back into the playoff conversation in the Central division. They are currently sitting in 7th (aka last) and are 11 points back of 4th place. Quite the mountain to climb.
Skate news:
No Brad Lambert this morning at Canada Life after he skated on Friday in a yellow, non-contact jersey. No surprise that Chaz Lucius is also not on the ice. Will see what head coach Mark Morrison has to say after skate about these two Jets prospects.
Health update:
Head coach Mark Morrison confirms that Jets prospect Chaz Lucius is having season ending ankle surgery. There was some good news on Brad Lambert as the Manitoba bench boss indicated “Brad is going to skate later today. He’ll skate later today and then we’ll go from there. Hopefully he’ll be in pre-game skate tomorrow and he’s really close. It’s a possibility for tomorrow.”
