The Moose returned to Winnipeg on Sunday after earning a weekend split with the top team in the Pacific the Calgary Wranglers including a comeback OT victory on Sunday. They were without Jets prospect Chaz Lucius and Kyle Capobianco for both games.
Skate news:
Brad Lambert and Nikita Chibrikov were skating. So were Dominic Toninato, Kristian Reichel, Jeffrey Viel & Jeff Malott meaning any of the players who were seen as potential recalls were all on the ice for the Moose. With San Jose being a bit more difficult to get to it would make sense the Jets might simply have that player fly directly to L.A. to meet the team where they conclude their four-game road trip tomorrow night.
Chaz Lucius (injured) was missing but Kyle Capobianco who missed time last week was back. Henri Nikkanen, Oskari Salminen and Dmitry Kuzmin were also not on the ice.
Health news:
Both Henri Nikkanen and Oskari Salminen are dealing with the flu. Chaz Lucius skated on his own this morning and will skate with the team tomorrow.
Reassigned:
The Moose have sent Dmitry Kuzmin back to Norfolk of the ECHL. He will get a chance to play on Wednesday with Manitoba not back in action until the weekend.
