The Moose were back on the ice this morning at IcePlex as they prepare for Friday’s home opener against Cleveland. Three players were wearing orange non-contact uniforms at the skate including Francis Beauvillier, Jansen Harkins and Jan Kostalek. The skating of Jack Roslovic really stands out when you watch practice. Sami Niku was also quite noticeable both in terms of his skating and what he can do with the puck.
Following skate coach Vincent provided me with a health update on the three players in non-contact uniforms indicating that “Beauvillier is possible for this weekend. Harkins has to go through another day and then he will be re-evaluated. Kostalek same thing, possible for this weekend. So Beauvillier is probably the guy that is the most healthy right now.”
Right after skate the Moose announced some roster moves including:
Jimmy Lodge to Jacksonville (ECHL)
Kale Kessey to Tulsa (ECHL)
Tim Daly to Norfolk (ECHL)
John McCarron released from tryout.
The team also announced the signing of defenceman Charles-David Beaudoin to a professional tryout offer. This leaves the team with 27 players on the roster.
