Manitoba Moose injury update: Leon Gawanke in concussion protocol after hit

The Moose lost defenceman Leon Gawanke in the 2nd period of their game against the Senators on Saturday when he was hit in the head by the Senators Joseph LaBate.  As you can see here it was a pretty brutal hit targeting a player in a defenseless position:

I’ve been told that the second year pro is currently in concussion protocol.

Gawanke has four assists in 12 games for Manitoba.
