Following a 2-1 win over the Charlotte Checkers last night Manitoba Moose coach Keith McCambridge provided an update on his injured players:
– Josh Morrissey is week to week with a lower body injury. He is not traveling with the Moose to Iowa for the road trip. He last played on March 7th against Iowa here in Winnipeg. From my perspective it appeared that he suffered the injury at the end of the 2nd period when he got twisted up with a Wild player behind the Moose net.
– Eric Comrie is day to day with a lower body injury. He was pulled from the game against the Checkers on Saturday night. It wasn’t readily apparent if it was due to performance (he had given up three goals on nine shots) or if it was injury related. While the team has called up Jussi Olkinura, Comrie did travel with the Moose to Iowa.
– Jan Kostalek is day to day with an upper body injury and is also traveling with team. He hasn’t played since March 11th when Manitoba visited Grand Rapids.
– It was also announced that Ryan Olsen (last game was March 23rd against Stockton when he had a big fight) and Peter Stoykewych (blocked shot) are both done for the season joining Thomas Raffl in that capacity.
