The Moose had some welcome faces at today’s practice according to head coach Pascal Vincent who indicated during media availability that 2018 2nd rounder David Gustafsson and 2017 2nd rounder Dylan Samberg were both participating in practice.  Both prospects missed the last series against the Senators dealing with injuries.

On a less positive note the Moose have lost veteran defenceman Jimmy Oligny who is done for the season according to Manitoba bench boss. Oligny has been a veteran presence on an extremely young (experience and age) blueline that is populated with a ton of Jets prospects including Johnny Kovacevic, Declan Chisholm, Leon Gawanke and the aforementioned Samberg.

Forward Westin Michaud, who scored his first pro goal last week in the series with Belleville on April 7th but didn’t play in the last three games against the Senators farm club, was skating with the IR skaters, which includes Haralds Egle (day-to-day), who played all four games from their last series and Brent Pedersen who still hasn’t played this season.
