Manitoba Moose goalie Mikhail Berdin named CCM/AHL Player of the Week

Mikhail Berdin went 4-0 last week and gave up just five goals in those four games.  He stopped 148 of the 153 shots he faced.  Overall Berdin has backstopped the Moose to six straight wins and eight victories in his last nine games as they have improved to 9-8-0-0 from the 1-7-0-0 they were after the first eight games of the season.

He spoke today following practice about receiving the award:

Interestingly he will have to wait awhile to receive his crystal trophy from the AHL because the player receives it the first home game after winning it, which for Berdin and the Moose will be on December 6th when they finally have returned home for a pair of games against Chicago.
