Manitoba Moose assistant coach Eric Dubois leaving team to join German club in DEL as an assistant coach

After nine seasons behind the bench Moose assistant coach Eric Dubois is heading to Germany to continue his coaching career with German club ERC Ingolstadt.

Dubois worked with the defenceman and has seen a number of prospects blossom and move on to to the NHL under his watch. Prospects who played in the NHL like Tucker Poolman, Sami Niku, Logan Stanley, Johnny Kovacevic, Dylan Samberg, Declan Chisholm, Ville Heinola as well as helping to develop others like Simon Lundmark, Tyrel Bauer and Elias Salomonsson. And these are just the Jets draft picks. A player like Kyle Capobianco won the Eddie Shore Award under him for top AHL defenceman back in 2024. So did Sami Niku in 2018.

This was his second tour of duty in Manitoba as he spent one season here as a player back in 1996-97. He also got a chance to work with his son Pierre-Luc who the Jets acquired back in 2021.

All the best to him and his family in this new opportunity.
