Manitoba Moose assign two players to Norfolk

The Moose were back on the ice today after a day off on Monday following their weekend series with the Calgary Wranglers in which they earned themselves a split including a 3rd period comeback on Sunday which gave them a thrilling OT victory.

However as of Monday there were still 28 players left on the Moose roster which isn’t ideal as the team would rather have guys playing that simply practicing and to that end Manitoba announced a pair of assignments to their ECHL affiliate in Norfolk sending Thomas Caron and Carson Golder to play minutes for the Admirals.

Caron has played 47 games for the Moose as he enters his third season as a pro. Golder has one game in the AHL under his belt from last season after he finished his season in the WHL. He signed a two-year deal with Manitoba recently.

This leaves 26 players currently with the Moose.

Current roster:

Forwards (15): Axel Jonsson-Fjallby, Parker Ford, Henri Nikkanen, Jeffrey Viel, Jeff Malott, Kristian Reichel, Dominic Toninato, Wyatt Bongiovanni, Danny Zhilkin, Nicholas Jones, Brad Lambert, Chaz Lucius, Nikita Chibrikov, C.J. Suess and Daniel Torgersson.

Defence (9): Kyle Capobianco, Ashton Sautner, Tyrel Bauer, Dawson Barteaux, Simon Lundmark, Artemi Knaizev, Jimmy Oligny, Dean Stewart and Dmitry Kuzmin

Goalies (2): Oskari Salminen and Collin Delia.
