Manitoba Moose add two new faces to the coaching staff

Does Nolan Baumgartner count as a “new” face given he has played more games (385) wearing a Manitoba Moose jersey (in the AHL) than anyone else in the history of the organization (Jimmy Roy has more when you also factor in the IHL). He also has the second most points (185) which isn’t too shabby given he was a defenceman. Now he finds himself part of the Manitoba Moose coaching staff after Marty Johnston was promoted to the Jets bench.

Additionally the team announced that Alex Matheson was named video coach. He has spent the past three seasons with the University of Ottawa as a video coach.

He takes over for really well-respected Richard Bue who is stepping away to be closer to family back east. Bue is one of the best people I’ve ever met in hockey.
