Manitoba Moose 2016-17 Promotions Schedule

Hockey fans in Manitoba won’t just be getting Jets promotional items and events as the Moose announced their schedule of events and giveaways today as well.

Moose Release:

The Manitoba Moose are pleased to announce their 2016-17 Promotional Schedule featuring limited edition jerseys, exciting giveaways and numerous community-focused theme nights.

Fans will be a part of the show when the Moose launch their home schedule on Tuesday, Oct. 18 against the Bakersfield Condors. The first 6,000 fans in attendance will receive an LED wristband to light up the MTS Centre for the home opener festivities. Fans will also head home from the game with a 2016-17 Moose fridge magnet schedule.

The Moose open the New Year by giving away mini-bobbleheads to the first 3,000 fans through the doors when the Charlotte Checkers visit on Jan. 1. The second bobblehead will be available to the first 3,000 fans in attendance on April 7 when Manitoba hosts the Tucson Roadrunners. Stay tuned to moosehockey.com and team social media feeds for the reveals of featured players.

The Empire and Rebel Alliance bring their battle to the MTS Centre for Star Wars Day on Dec. 3 when Manitoba hosts the Texas Stars. The Moose will wear limited edition Star Wars jerseys for warmup and a Star Wars theme will appear throughout the game.

The Moose will also wear commemorative jerseys in four games this season. First up is the Firefighter Appreciation Jersey/Day, in support of the Manitoba Fallen Firefighter Foundation, on Jan. 15 when the Moose clash with the Chicago Wolves. Polar Bear Jersey Night, presented by Assiniboine Park Zoo, makes its return on Feb. 3 against the San Jose Barracuda. The MTS Centre clock rolls back on March 12 when the Moose take on the Toronto Marlies for Retro Jersey Day, in support of Hockey Manitoba. The final special edition jersey will be worn on Autism Awareness Night, in support of St.Amant, when the Milwaukee Admirals visit on March 24.

Autograph collectors should circle Dec. 4 on their calendar. The first 3,000 fans into the building will receive a Manitoba Moose pennant perfect for signatures during the full-team autograph session following the game. In addition to the Dec. 4 session, the Moose will hold six post-game Autograph Alleys throughout the season.

Moose fans can also look forward to community-focused theme nights including the Share the Warmth Winter Clothing Drive, in support of Siloam Mission (Nov. 5), Teddy Bear Toss, in support of the Christmas Cheer Board (Dec. 10), and Shutout Hunger, in support of Winnipeg Harvest (Dec. 30).
