Manitoba Moose 2015-16 Promotions Schedule

Hockey fans in Manitoba won’t just be getting Jets promotional items and events as the Moose announced their schedule of events and giveaways today as well.

Manitoba Moose Release:

The Manitoba Moose Hockey Club is thrilled to announce its game promotion schedule for the upcoming 2015-16 season, including four specialty jersey nights, unique giveaways, and the return of the Teddy Bear Toss.

The Moose will make their official return to the MTS Centre when they play their home opener on Thursday, Oct. 15 against the Ontario Reign. On opening night, the first 6,000 fans will receive a commemorative LED wristband celebrating the first Moose game in Winnipeg in over four years. Fans will also receive a collectable fridge magnet featuring this year’s game schedule.

On Sunday, Jan. 3 when the Moose host the Grand Rapids Griffins, the first 3,000 fans will receive a Connor Hellebuyck mini bobblehead. A second Moose mini bobblehead will be given away to the first 3,000 fans on Saturday, Apr. 9 against the Rockford Icehogs with the player announced at a later date.

The Moose will celebrate their history on Saturday, Feb. 13 by wearing a throwback jersey from the 1996 season when they take on one of their oldest rivals, the Chicago Wolves. The first 3,000 people in attendance that afternoon will receive an Upper Deck hockey card giveaway.

Saturday, Jan. 9 will be Polar Bear Jersey Night presented by Assiniboine Park Zoo. For one night only, the Moose will wear special polar bear jerseys when they host the Toronto Marlies.

The Moose will also wear a wilderness camouflage jersey on Friday, Nov. 20 against the Bakersfield Condors and an autism awareness jersey on Saturday, Mar. 26 when they host the Charlotte Checkers.

Teddy Bear Toss night makes its return on Saturday, Dec. 12 against the Milwaukee Admirals. Fans are encouraged to bring new stuffed animals to the game that night and throw them on the ice during the first intermission. All teddy bears collected will be donated in support of the Christmas Cheer Board.

Ring in the New Year with the Moose as the team will play a traditional 4pm start time on Thursday, Dec. 31 when they host a new division rival, the Iowa Wild. Fans will be encouraged to donate a non-perishable food item in an effort to “Shutout Hunger” in support of Winnipeg Harvest.

Other promotional nights include a team photo puzzle giveaway to the first 3,000 fans on Sunday, Dec. 13, with a full team autograph session to follow post-game, and a premium beach towel giveaway handed out to the first 3,000 fans in attendance at “Beat the Winter Blues Night” in Saturday, Feb. 6 against the Toronto Marlies.
