Notable:
Jets goalie prospect Thomas Milic made his NHL debut. And right out of the gate Winnipeg let him get into the action as Carolina got out to a 6-0 shot advantage in the first eight minutes of the game.
Trailing 1-0 the Jets tied things up in the middle frame with Mark Scheifele getting his team leading 13th of the season.
Both teams had chances but the Hurricanes blew it open with two goals in 47 seconds. First from a guy born in Brandon (Jordan Mattinook) and Winnipeg (Seth Jarvis with his second of the game).
And then Seth Jarvis completed it off with his hat trick goal to put the dagger in Winnipeg.
