Lightning owner Len Barrie could not let pass comments made by John Tortortella during a radio interview in Ottawa. The former coach, fired after last season’s last-place finish, said he had “zero respect” for Barrie and fellow owner Oren Koules, and called them “a couple of cowboys.”
Said Barrie late Friday night: “What were there, nine openings for coaches? That’s why he’s working for TV. I’ll be sure I wear my cowboy hat for the first game.”
