Latest update on Winnipeg Jets Cole Perfetti

When Cole Perfetti was spotted on the plane to start this four-game Jets road trip last week there was some thought he could be closer than it had previously seemed to returning to the lineup.

Today after practice in Tampa interim Jets head coach Dave Lowry was asked for an update on the 2020 1st rounder.

Not unsurprisingly the answer regarding Perfetti makes it look like him playing again this season is unlikely with just a couple of weeks left in the season. The Jets bench boss had this to say

“He’s just going to continue to skate sparingly as part of his rehab process. He’ll skate for a couple of days, take a day off see how he feels and just move forward like that.”

The Jets take off for New York where they will play the Rangers tomorrow night.
