A large group of Jets prospects assembled in Winnipeg this week as they prepared to head west to British Columbia on Thursday where they will take part in the Young Stars Tournament against the Canucks, Oilers and Flames young guns. They hit the ice today for a practice at hockey for all centre.

Health news:
We saw Jets 2021 1st rounder Chaz Lucius in a yellow, non-contact jersey which was an improvement since the last time we saw him in Winnipeg during Development Camp in July when he wasn’t skating with the main groups of prospects. The Minnesotan had ankle surgery back in January which cost him the remainder of the 2023-24 season with the Moose.
Moose head coach Mark Morrison indicated that this is not a new injury but because Lucius hasn’t been able to take contact all summer so the organization is working him back slowly into camp.
“Just being very careful, very sure of him coming back at the right time.”
He also added that Lucius will not participate in the rookie tournament but that isn’t a big shock given the above.
