Larry Robinson, who spent last season next to head coach Brent Sutter, won’t be behind the Devils’ bench again this season. He’ll serve as a special assignment coach between the organization’s prospects in Lowell, Mass., and the Devils.
Tommy Albelin, as assistant coach who served as the club’s eye in the sky in the press box, will join John MacLean behind the bench.

Robinson is a great coach, and he brings a lot of life to a team’s bench. I’m sure he will be missed behind the Devils’ bench.
