Kevin Cheveldayoff confirms that the Winnipeg Jets have mutually parted ways with assistant coach Brad Lauer

During the media availability introducing new head coach Scott Arniel, GM Kevin Cheveldayoff was asked about his coaching staff with there now being an opening for an associate coach.

He confirmed he had a conversation with Brad Lauer over the weekend and the two sides have agreed to mutually part ways.

Lauer came to Winnipeg from junior hockey where he was head coach of the Edmonton Oil Kings. He was in charge of the power play for Winnipeg which finished 22nd in the NHL during the regular season.

Cheveldayoff confirmed that assistant coach Marty Johnston and goalie coach Wade Flaherty will return.
