Josh Archibald has been suspended for one game for his clip on the Winnipeg Jets Logan Stanley

When Oilers forward Josh Archibald took out Logan Stanley‘s knees last night I was sitting high above the action in the pressbox and thought it was a pretty dangerous play and pretty needless given his team was up 4-1.

Of course he would go to the sin bin (for tripping of all things) to think about his action which was followed by Mathieu Perreault scoring to make it 4-2 and then the Jets tied it up a few minutes later and eventually won the game in OT to give themselves a 3-0 series lead.

Today the NHL announced that Archibald would be suspended for one game.  Here was their explanation:

Jets and Oilers sans Archibald will play game 4 tonight at 8:45 PM.
