Notable:
Josh Morrissey moved past Nikolaj Ehlers into 4th on the All-Time games played list for the Jets 2.0 with 675.
Somewhat surprisingly, based on reports from morning skate, it was Haydn Fleury in the game for Luke Schenn. Don’t know if the veteran D man took warm-up in L.A.
Never understood how goalie interference can negate a goal but doesn’t result in a penalty. I know the rule is if it’s incidental it doesn’t merit a penalty but just seems odd. I was surprised the Jets challenged the Gabriel Vilardi no goal as, while I thought it was marginal interference at best, they’d have to overturn the ref’s decision and that seemed unlikely.
A Vlad Namestnikov double minor late in the game gave the Kings a chance to score their a power play goal (first for them in some time) which gave the home team a 2-0 lead.
Watching paint dry might have been more exciting than this hockey game.
