It appears the $4 tickets and the free entry for kids under 12 in costume wasn’t enough to lure out a big crowd. (Official crowd was 11,855).
The Jets blew a two goal lead which set up an incredibly exciting 3rd period. Florida managed to score a late power play goal to give the Panthers a 3-2 edge. But with 49.9 seconds to go the Jets tied the game with a controversial goal, a goal initially called off by the referee as a high stick.
OT solved nothing and the game was sent to the always fun shootout.
