Jets lose Mark Scheifele in 2nd period vs Senators (ruled out for remainder of game)

The Jets finally were getting rolling as they scored two goals in the 2nd period to take a 3-1 lead which included an assist by Mark Scheifele to give him 70 points on the season. However he went immediately to the room after this hit by Parker Kelly in the 2nd period.

The Jets announced during the 2nd intermission that Scheifele was done for the night which is no great surprise given how he reacted to the hit.

We shall have to wait and see what the update is although that won’t likely come before tomorrow.
