Injury Update: Tyler Myers wears non-contact uniform at Jets practice

There was some excitement from Jets players at morning skate in Tampa as Tyler Myers made an appearance on the ice in a non-contact uniform.

There had been some buzz with him making the road trip with the team although coach Maurice indicated in his post-skate comments today that there is still no timeline yet on the return of the big defenceman who has missed the last 23 games.  (Hear those comments below).

Coach Maurice: On Tyler Myers getting out on the ice.  Any timeline as to his return?  On what the team has been missing without Myers.  (Audio courtesy of TSN 1290 Winnipeg).

Coach Quotes:

“Get through a real light day tomorrow and we’ll just start adding minutes….but he’s going to have to get pushed on the ice real hard for a little bit before he gets back in the lineup”
