With all the focus on Alexander Burmistrov being claimed this morning by the Arizona Coyotes, it is worth noting that Tyler Myers has made the road trip with the Jets to Florida. While it doesn’t mean we will necessarily see him in game action this week the good news for the team is it is a sign that he has progressed somewhat. Coach Maurice provided an update on the defenceman who has been out of the lineup with a lower body injury since the 2nd period of a game against the Avalanche back on November 11th, causing him to miss the last 23 games.
Coach Maurice on Myers:
“On the trip, which means he’s kind of passed through some of the physiological stuff that we do and now he’s in the hands of the strength coach as much as anybody, which is always a really good sign.”
