Injury Update: Nic Petan to IR, Mathieu Perreault progress report

With Bryan Little returning to the lineup the Jets Injury Report would have been reduced by one however the Jets added Nic Petan to the injury reserve retroactive to November 27th with a lower-body injury.  As we covered yesterday with Petan he should be about a week according to coach Maurice.

Following skate as the Jets get ready to take on the Devils at the MTS Centre tonight coach Maurice provided a progress report on Mathieu Perreault:

“He’s been off the ice a little bit more so we need to make sure that his legs are right.  He got a real good tug today, he will get another one tomorrow and then we will start talking about where he would fit and when.  Matty will want to play tonight but we need to get a few more days on him before we are sure he can skate through a game.”
