Injury Update: Marko Dano status is “almost…pretty soon”

Marko Dano has missed the last 20 Jets games since he was felled by a lower-body injury back on December 29th against his former club the Columbus Blue Jackets.  Today following morning skate at the MTS Centre coach Maurice was asked for an update on Dano’s status and he indicated that the forward had “A little tweak there.  He’s moved to almost…pretty soon.”

When asked if he was still skating coach Maurice indicated “He had to come off from skating a little bit.”.

The Jets bench boss had estimated that Dano’s recovery would take approximately eight weeks when he spoke back on December 31st so it appears Dano may even be slightly ahead of schedule, despite the recent tweak.
