Injury Update: Ben Chiarot is day-to-day with an upper body injury

He was reported to be suffering from an illness so the Jets recalled Julian Melchiori from the Moose this morning but it turns out that in addition to the flu he has an upper body injury that he sustained in the last game against the Canadiens.  Looking at the shift charts he played the very last shift with this defensive partner Paul Postma to close out the 7-4 game.

Coach Maurice speaking in Arizona today had this to say about Chiarot: “He had the flu yesterday but when he came in he also brought in an injury from the previous night’s game so it’s upper body, he’s day-to-day but we didn’t bring him with us.”
