Injury News: Mark Scheifele suffers MCL sprain

Jets fans probably figured the news wasn’t good when they saw their prized rookie heading off in the 2nd period of the game yesterday.

Well news just broke that he could be gone for 6-8 weeks.

We will update this post when we hear further.  As always ensure you are up-to-date with the latest Jets news via our twitter @illegalcurve.

Update:

According to head coach Paul Maurice the Jets are labeling the injury to Mark Scheifele as an MCL sprain.  He wouldn’t put a time frame on recovery.
