Missed this chat between Kevin Woodley and Moose goalie coach Drew MacIntyre on August 20th. The conversation starts at 36:13.
Video Description: In the feature interview, presented by Sense Arena, MacIntyre shares some incredible stories from an 18-season professional career that included NHL stops with the Vancouver Canucks, Buffalo Sabres and Toronto Maple Leafs as well as time with 17 other pro teams in eight leagues and countries, including finishing with three years in Asia.
In addition to working with and learning from an incredible list of teammates and goalie coaches, Macintyre was also the reason cat-eye cages are no longer allowed in the CHL, and once scored a game-winning goal in overtime with the butt end of his stick. Add in some lessons between the pipes and between the ears that can help every goalie, goalie coach and goalie parent and you’ll quickly understand why the Jets tabbed him for a coaching job so soon after his playing career ended, and why this is another can’t miss episode.
