Player Highlights/Review:
Jamie Phillips: He wasn’t asked to be spectacular, but Phillips looked steady in net tonight. He showed good lateral mobility, making a few good cross-crease saves to deny the Ice Hogs in the first period. He might want the rebound back which created the Ice Hogs’ first goal, but rebound control can be tough on a quick reaction save like that one.
Chase De Leo: Back at his natural centre-ice position, De Loe looked fast and confident from the start of the game. He was one of the only Moose players who looked dangerous with the puck in the first two periods, and he was good throughout the game, particularly on the shot which tied the game in the third.
Jack Roslovic: He was wheeling with the puck a lot in the third period and OT, showing tremendous control and poise. He also seems to be improving his defensive game, particularly on the backcheck – he has a knack for bothering the puck carrier with slashes that are big enough to disrupt, but small enough to go escape the officials.
Kyle Connor: He did make a few nice plays, including a two-on-one where he sent Lipon in alone (he wasn’t able to bury). He also was very dangerous in OT, as you would expect with his skill and wheels. He had a mediocre game by his standards though.
