Sources tell TSN that free agent Marian Hossa has signed a one-year, $7.4 million deal with the defending Stanley Cup champions the Detroit Red Wings.

Just give them the Cup now? I mean, this is a terrific signing. The Wings get a dominant Hossa for only 1 year, so they don’t box themselves in when they need to re-sign Henrik Zetterberg next off-season. Wow. Kenny Holland is a mastermind.
