TSN reports that Dany Heatley has signed a six year contract extension with the Ottawa Senators. It is believed that Heatley will received between $7.5 and $8 million per year.

Great move for the Sens, he is an essential part of their team, and if they want to compete for the Stanley Cup in the upcoming years, they need to have him locked up.
