Hanzal underwent surgery July 17 to repair a herniated disk in his back and has started a light rehab program, one that General Manager Don Maloney says will increase in intensity over time.

Hanzal is one of the many young talented forwards that the Coyotes have on their roster. He was solid during his rookie season and, as long as his back injury doesn’t hold him back, he should improve on his numbers in his sophomore season.
He's closing in on his first game since January 13th.
The 2024 2nd rounder is in Winnipeg where he'll spend the rest of the season…
