Game 9: Jets 4 Stars 3 in SO post-game recap

The points steak for the Jets continues at seven games as they win it in a shootout over the Stars and improve to 5-0-2 during the streak.

Notable:

Eric Comrie starting in Winnipeg is nothing new. He’s done it plenty with the Manitoba Moose. But his last regular season start (for the Jets) in Winnipeg was March 20th, 2018 (which was a win over the Kings).

During a commercial break fans giving Nathan Beaulieu a round of applause for playing in his 400th NHL game during the road trip which got a smile out of the veteran.

In perhaps a sign of a return to normality Cameron Cheers was in the crowd to rev up the crowd (see video).

Nikolaj Ehlers picked up the secondary assist on the opening goal of the game for Winnipeg. It also gives the Dynamic Dane 309 points with the franchise, which moves him one ahead of Tobias Enstrom and into sole possession of 7th in franchise history for total points.

2020-21: 8G in 41 games.

With a pair of assists already in this contest Nate Schmidt is up to 8A in 9 games for the Jets. He had 15 points 54 games last season for the Canucks.
