Who woulda thunk it that at game 80 the Jets and Avalanche would have identical records (49-24-6) battling it out for the 2nd spot in the Central. Colorado has scored 52 goals more than Winnipeg this season while the Jets have been the stingier of the two teams allowing 48 less goals against than the Avalanche.
We learned yesterday at practice that Nino Niederreiter would not be a player this afternoon for the Jets as they’ll give him a few more days to recover. We also learned from head coach Rick Bowness that the plan is to roll with the same lineup (except Connor Hellebuyck starts) they used in their 3-0 win over the Stars although because there are some question marks they will dress an extra forward and defenceman for warm-up.
Warm-up news:
Starts at 2:30 PM CDT.
Jets projected lines & D pairs:
Connor-Scheifele-Vilardi
Ehlers-Monahan-Toffoli
Gustafsson-Lowry-Appleton
Barron-Namestnikov-Iafallo
Morrissey-DeMelo
