The Canadiens complete the comeback, defeating the Jets 4-3 in a shootout.
Notable:
Captain Adam Lowry picked a memorable way to score his first goal of the season courtesy of a penalty shot in the 1st period.
Winnipeg had as good a start as you could have asked for to begin the middle frame.
Lowry scored his second of the game/season to make it a 2-1 contest and that was followed by Nino Niederitter getting his second of the season 18 seconds later to make it a 3-1 hockey game.
Former Jet Joel “one man” Armia tied the game just as a Winnipeg power play concluded. Not optimal.
Game would head to OT which had some sizzle but no finish which meant the game required a shootout. No Jets could score while Habs did meaning the home team got the ‘W’.
The Jets three-game win streak is now a four-game points streak.
They are 4-3-1 on the season.
Multi Point Game:
Adam Lowry 2G
Nino Niederreiter 1G 1A
Mason Appleton 2A
