While there is a lot going on off the ice with the Jets on the ice there was some news on Friday as captain Blake Wheeler was skating on the third line as he comes back from being on covid protocols.

Morning skate:

No morning skate today with the game being a 4 PM puck drop in San Jose (6 PM in Winnipeg) so we will have to wait for confirmation that Blake Wheeler playing and if he is, then the expectation is he will be with Adam Lowry and Kristian Vesalainen. For now the projected lines are based on yesterday’s Practice Report.

Changes to puck drop and warm up news:

The Sharks are dealing with a covid outbreak so the start time had to be pushed back 30 minutes. In addition Murat Ates of The Athletic Winnipeg indicated that Riley Nash isn’t skating in warm up and that Nathan Beaulieu is taking warm up on the 4th line.

Here is the list of Sharks via Elliotte Friedman:

Andrew Cogliano, Jonathan Dahlen, Erik Karlsson, Jacob Middleton, Matt Nieto, Radim Simek, Marc-Edouard Vlasic & Bob Boughner in COVID protocol for SJ. Logan Couture “under the weather” and not playing, but not in COVID protocol.

Jets projected lines & D pairs:

Copp-Stastny-Ehlers
Connor-Dubois-Svechnikov
Vesalainen-Lowry-Wheeler
Harkins-Toninato-Beaulieu

Morrissey-Schmidt
Dillon-Pionk
Stanley-DeMelo

Hellebuyck
Comrie
