The Jets won’t skate today following a win last night in Winnipeg. They immediately left the ‘Peg for Colorado and will rest up as they get ready to face the Avalanche in this back-to-back. Coach Maurice did indicate in his post-game comments that he expects to use the same lineup with the exception being he will use a different netminder as follows:
Laine-Scheifele-Wheeler
Connor-Perreault-Ehlers
Matthias-Lowry-Armia
Tanev-Burmistrov-Thorburn
Morrissey-Byfuglien
Enstrom-Myers
Stuart-Chiarot
Hutchinson
Hellebuyck
Extra: Marko Dano was recalled by the Jets but as I indicated above coach Maurice made it sound like it was more of an insurance policy as he did mention yesterday that they had some nicked up players. So it is possible that Dano draws into the lineup in that instance.
Coach Audio:
Paul Maurice: Same lineup tonight? What does he like about last night’s Stars game? Can they carry-over the momentum from last night tonight in Colorado? How does he like the way Kyle Connor handled his return? Getting up against central division rivals. On Laine’s development. Was the higher shot volume also a factor in going with Hutchinson over Hellebuyck? What did Marko Dano do to earn the call? What did he like about Lowry’s game? Knowing the timeline on Little make it easier to figure out his lines? Everything ok with Byfuglien?
