Game 8: Jets 3 Coyotes 2 in OT post-game recap

The Jets pick up their third straight win as they come into Mullett Arena and win 3-2 in OT off a nifty Dubois to Wheeler pass.

Notable:

The hair puns were already maxed out and the first minute of the game hadn’t even run out.

I didn’t realize that Josh Morrissey had seven assists coming into this game and with the one he added tonight it gives him eight in eight games. Not sure he maintains this pace and hits 82 assists on the season but he should crush his career high of 26 set in 2019-2020.

Cole Perfetti now has 3G 3A in 8 games. Sits tied for 3rd in scoring for Winnipeg. 

Kyle Connor‘s shooting % has been around 15% the last five seasons. He’s sitting at 4.3% this season. He’ll get back to his normal sooner rather than later.

Mark Scheifele now on pace for 60+ goals.  He has six in eight games for number 55.

Blake Wheeler moved one ahead of Mark Scheifele with the most game-winning goals with number 35.

Goalie David Rittich picked up his first win as a member of the Jets.
