Game 79: Jets 4 Blackhawks 3 in OT post-game recap

The Central Division is tight but the Jets slide back into being alone in 1st with the win over the Hawks in OT thanks to Kevin Hayes. They improve to 46-29-4 on the season and remain two points up on the Blues and Predators who are tied with 94 points.

For those who would like to take a deeper dive into the advanced stats here are the results from tonight’s game via Natural Stat Trick.

Notable:

After scoring his first hat trick of his career (which was his first game with multi goals) Jack Roslovic went 22 games without a goal but he snapped that streak with two goals tonight in Chicago for the second multi goal game of his career.

Jets also set a franchise record for most wins on the road with 21.

Audio:

Kevin Hayes

Adam Lowry

Jack Roslovic

Coach Maurice:  The wild nature of that OT.  The game winning goal scored by Kevin Hayes.  Overall tonight what did he think of his team’s performance?  Play of the 4th line.

Up Next:

The Jets won’t have any time to rest as they head to Minnesota for a game against the Wild tomorrow night.  Kick start your day with the AM Jets papers which go live at 7 am on illegalcurve.com.
