While the playoff chances are remote (like really, really remote) the Jets needed to pick up a win and that’s what they did as they win their second straight game on this road trip in as many days. They are five back of the final wild card spot with eight games to go.

Notable:
Colorado product Mikey Eyssimont made his NHL debut in Montreal. The Bell Centre is quite the spot for the 2016 5th rounder (LA) to get his first shot in the NHL with the Winnipeg Jets as a fourth year pro.
It doesn’t show up on the stat sheet but Dylan Samberg made a great play 1-on-1 against Josh Anderson in the 1st period. Kid is looking vet.
First goal alert for Morgan Barron who takes a nifty pass from Nikolaj Ehlers to fire home his first as a member of the Jets. Cannot help but think about the damage he will do in the Calder Cup Playoffs for the Moose with the confidence he is gaining with Winnipeg in the NHL.
How many people expected Paul Stastny at 36 years of age to be a 20G 20A guy this season? First time he hit 20 goals since 2013-2014. He has turned back the clock.
The points streak for Nikolaj Ehlers hits seven games (5G 7A for 12PTS) which according to NHL Public Relations “ties the longest run of his career which he set in 2016-17”.
Good time for Evgeny Svechnikov to score his first goal in 20 games as he finishes off a nifty 3 on 2 to make it 3-2 for Winnipeg.
Multi point game:
Morgan Barron 1G 1A
Dylan Samberg 2A
