For those who would like to take a deeper dive into the advanced stats here are the results from tonight’s game via Natural Stat Trick.
Numbers:
– Kyle Connor scored twice (26, 27);
– Eric Comrie picks up his first win of the season and first Jets win at Bell MTS Place.
Health Update:
The big concern after the elation of the win for the Jets had worn off was concern for the status of their sniper after Patrik Laine left the game in the 2nd after blocking a shot. Coach Maurice indicated “We think he is going to be fine. We don’t think it is anything long term.” He jokingly said it was a concussion when asked if it was above the ankle and when pressed later in the scrum the Jets bench boss indicated “We’ll see how it comes in but we’ve already had him looked at a couple of different ways, there’s nothing sinister.”
