Game 71: Jets vs. Flames pre-game report

The Jets are feeling good after they held on for the 4-3 win over the Bruins on Thursday night and the Flames are coming off a 5-1 tuning of the Rangers last night in Calgary which allowed them to take over top spot in the Western Conference.

For now the lines and D pairs are simply based on the last game.  They will be updated when the morning skate gets underway.

Morning Skate:

According to Scott Billeck who is a correspondent for the NHL indicated that “No Brandon Tanev, no Nikolaj Ehlers, no Dmitry Kulikov and no Mathieu Perreault out for the morning skate.”

Mike McIntyre of the Winnipeg Free Press adds that Joe Morrow is in a regular uniform.  He also confirmed that Connor Hellebuyck will start.

Jets projected lineup:

Laine – Scheifele – Wheeler
Connor – Hayes – Ehlers
Tanev-Lowry-Little
Perreault-Copp-Roslovic

Beaulieu – Trouba
Kulikov – Myers
Chiarot – Niku

Helllebuyck
Brossoit

Coach Maurice:  On how the Jets match up against the Flames.  Are any of the absent players unavailable tonight?  Catching up with Dallas Eakins (who coaches the Gulls who play Moose this weekend).  On Kristian Vesalainen’s return.  On the play of Tucker Poolman.  Thoughts on the Lowry line with Little on it.
