The big lineup news yesterday was that Brendan Lemieux would be making his NHL debut with Marko Dano being the odd man out. There was also some question as to whether Ben Chairot would be making his season debut with rookie Tucker Poolman being a healthy scratch.
Morning skate notes:
According to Scott Billeck of NHL.com it is an optional skate this morning at Bell MTS Place. Scott indicated that Matt Hendricks and Dmitry Kulikov both have shed their non-contact jerseys and that Tyler Myers is out for the skate.
Expected lines:
Connor-Scheifele-Wheeler
Ehlers-Little-Laine
Tanev-Copp-Armia
Petan-Matthias-Lemieux
Morrissey-Trouba
Enstrom-Byfuglien
Chiarot-Myers
Hellebuyck
Mason
Following skate coach Maurice confirmed that Ben Chiarot will make his season debut as he comes into the lineup for Tucker Poolman.

Brendan Lemieux
Coach Maurice: On what he would like to see from Lemieux. Would he consider Lemieux for the penalty kill? What has made the PK so dangerous in terms of shorthanded goals? What are the keys for Shawn Matthias at centre? On inserting Ben Chiarot into the lineup. How happy is he in terms of the team’s discipline with respect to penalties? How can they get more consistent play from Joel Armia? On Joel Armia’s confidence. What can the 3rd and 4th line guys do to get more minutes?
