Quick Thought:

Jets pulled off a big win after giving up three straight goals but re-took the lead after a disallowed goal.  Blake Wheeler got the game winner which was his 200th NHL career goal.  Patrik Laine had two power play goals and Connor Hellebuyck picked up his fourth win of the season (4-0-0).

For those who would like to take a deeper dive into the advanced stats here are the results from tonight’s game via Natural Stat Trick.

Jets post-game audio:

Blake Wheeler

Patrik Laine

Connor Hellebuyck

Coach Maurice:  On his 600th win.  On the response from his team after giving up lead.  Play of Brendan Lemieux.  Play of Brandon Tanev.  The hit on Morrissey which lead to the goal.  Blake Wheeler’s 200th NHL career goal. Thoughts on Kyle Connor’s game.  What did he like about the Jets power play?  On guys drawing penalties.  Where are the Jets on a learning curve about utilizing Patrik Laine.
