Rick Bowness delivered the news following morning skate that veteran forward Sam Gagner had hip surgery and is done for the season.
Boston made Winnipeg pay just 50 seconds into the game as two Jets (Connor and Schmidt) took one guy which left Trent Frederic alone in front to make it 1-0.
Pavel Zacha ripped a shot on net to give the Bruins some more insurance with a goal from some distance.
