According to Ted Wyman of the Winnipeg Sun who is at morning skate at MTS Centre your projected Jets lineup for tonight’s game against the Penguins looks the same as it did against the Sharks (which is listed below). Ted said Tobias Enstrom isn’t skating this morning so we shall have to see if it is maintenance or something more. Update: Coach Maurice confirmed that Enstrom is fine and will play tonight.
Perreault-Scheifele-Laine
Ehlers-Little-Wheeler
Matthias-Lowry-Armia
Dano-Copp-Thorburn
Enstrom-Byfuglien
Morrissey-Trouba
Chiarot-Postma
Hellebuyck
Hutchinson
Audio:
Nikolaj Ehlers: Need to have a bounce back game. What does he take from the game three weeks ago from the Penguins? Still neat to go up against Crosby/Malkin? Expecting a physical game tonight? How crucial will speed be tonight?
Chris Thorburn: How much is the physicality factoring into tonight’s game. Does it catch his attention when they add a player like Tom Sestito. What have the Jets been doing well defensively? If they match the game they played against SJ would that be a good enough effort to win tonight?
Andrew Copp: How is he feeling after last game? If they match the game they played against SJ would that be a good enough effort to win tonight? Playing two top teams back to back.
Coach Maurice: Update on Enstrom? What kind of game is he expecting tonight? Does he expect any bad blood (from the Penguins perspective as well based on Jets hits on their D last game)? Why isn’t the power play clicking? Is there a particular penalty kill style that hampers Jets power play? What does he see from the Penguins power play? On the status of Nic Petan. On his relationship with Pens GM Jim Rutherford.
