Notable:
Mark Scheifele tied Chris Thorburn on the all-time games played list with 709 for 4th on the combined Thrashers/Jets list. He’s 2nd on Jets 2.0 list. Would be tied for 4th on combined 1.0 & 2.0 list: Steen (950), Wheeler (859), Hawerchuk (713).
It was a milestone game for Brenden Dillon who played in his 800th NHL game. Pretty impressive for a kid who wasn’t drafted. Testament to what hard work can achieve.
Nate Schmidt scored his 7th goal of the season in his 57th game. He’s just two goals back of his career high which he set in 2018-19.
Nino Niederreiter does exactly what this Jets team needs. Spends time in front of the net and loves to shoot.
Eighth straight season that Mark Scheifele hits the 60 point mark in a season.
It was probably Mason Appleton‘s best game of the season. He played with tons of hustle.
Brenden Dillon hit the 17 assist mark for the third straight season. He’s had 17 assists in a season four times. His career high was 21 in 2018-19.
Giving up a shorthanded goal was less than ideal in a rather poor exchange between Blake Wheeler and Neal Pionk.
Penalty kill came up big in the middle frame killing a Tampa 5 on 3 which lasted over one minute.
Impressive back-to-back wins for Connor Hellebuyck who faced 48 shots last night by the Panthers and 35 tonight by the Lightning.
They pick up their 38th win of the season in game 67. Last year it came in game 81.
