Hot lap went to Jeff Malott who made his NHL debut for the Jets.

Kyle Connor picked up an assist on the opening goal of the game for the Jets which sets a new career high for the Michigan Man who now has 77 points (39G 38A) in 63 games. It also establishes a new high for him in assists and a career best seven-game points streak. He then set a new career high in goals as he scored his 39th.
The new look third line was rolling with Jansen Harkins picking up his first ever multi goal game.
Josh Morrissey ends up with the game-winning goal which is somewhat shocking give the Jets had a 5-2 lead as the 2nd period ended.
